A business license is required when selling or performing any services, soliciting business or offering or holding out goods or services for sale or hire, using any vehicle or premises in Lewiston for business purposes, and more.
Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
The primary purpose of the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) program is to fund community development projects and programs, which benefit low- to moderate income persons.
Request for Public Comment & Notice of Public Hearing
The City of Lewiston will submit its Program Year 2021 CDBG Action Plan to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) on June 15, 2021, to program $239,129 in Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funds.
A public hearing will be held at the Lewiston City Council meeting on Monday, June 7, 2021 at 3:00 p.m. Public comment is invited. The comment period runs from May 10, 2021 through June 10, 2021.

Any funding that is available or in need of reprogramming, will be put towards eligible activities that will assist low and moderate-income persons, meet a national objective and meet goals of the City of Lewiston's 2018-2022 Consolidated Plan.

Planning & Zoning
The Planning Services Division is responsible for the preparation, administration, and updating of the Comprehensive Plan, as well as area plans, both short and long-range.
The transit system provides bus transit services in the Lewis Clark Valley. Moving across state borders, the Lewiston Transit System of Lewiston, Idaho and Asotin County Public Transportation Benefit Area of Clarkston, Washington, is helping to connect people with their communities.
