Annual Transportation CIP Update Process (JPG)

Transportation Capital Improvement Plan - Public Comment Period

Public Works invites the public to participate in updating Lewiston's Transportation Capital Improvement Plan (CIP). The Transportation CIP is a list of major transportation capital improvement projects prioritized using criteria to objectively score each project. It is updated annually to reflect progress from the previous year, adjust remaining projects based on new data or needs, and to add new projects.

This is a planning document and not a funding document. It identifies and prioritizes major transportation capital projects but does not reflect funding or budgeting for project execution.

The Transportation CIP update is an annual process which begins with a formal call for requests in November and ends with adoption by City Council. Public comments can be submitted anytime during the year, but this Public Comment Period is notification for inclusion in the current years update. Requests received after the February 9, 2023 deadline will added to the next annual update.

An Open House is being held on Wednesday, January 18th, 2023 in the Event Space at the City of Lewiston Library from 5pm - 6pm. The draft 2023 Transportation CIP will be available for viewing and comment, while City staff will be available to answer any questions you may have regarding this proposed update.
