Diana Ames

Diana Ames - Chair


Diana Ames is retired from Lewis-Clark State College, where she taught Anthropology for 23 years. She studied Anthropology and Art/Architectural History at Boston University and Washington State, where she graduated in 1970. She returned to Graduate School at WSU in the mid-1980s, from which she received a Master’s in Anthropology, and worked towards her PhD. She has worked in both public and academic libraries, including the Lewiston-Nez Perce County Library, Nez Perce County-Regional Library system, and North Dakota State University Library. 

She and her husband, Alan Marshall, have lived in Lapwai, Boise, and Lewiston, Idaho across the last 45 years. She is a life-long Red Sox fan, and enjoys traveling back to New England and to New Mexico for family get-togethers.

Andy Hanson

Andy Hanson


Andy Hanson, an Idaho native, is the Vice President for Student Affairs at Lewis-Clark State College where he graduated with a degree in mathematics in 1992.  He holds a master’s degree in vocational education and a Ph.D. in education – both from the University of Idaho – and maintains an Idaho secondary teaching credential in mathematics.  His research interests include generational trends, career development, higher education law, and decision psychology.  

He resides in Lewiston with his wife, Elaine Williams. His daughter, Claire, is a student at Boise State University.

Trisha Decker


Originally from Lawrence, Kansas, Trisha graduated from the University of Kansas with her Bachelor’s in Public Administration and Communication Studies. She now resides in Lewiston where she serves as the Scholarship Coordinator at Lewis-Clark State College. In this role she manages institutional scholarship awarding and councils students on federal and state financial aid regulations.

In her spare time, Trisha enjoys camping, cycling, reading, and keeping up on local news. Her aspirations include receiving her Master’s in Public Administration from an Idaho University and to bicycle across America.

Josh Brown


Josh has spent several years moving through states across the West Coast in his work for Les Schwab.  After finally landing in Lewiston, Josh was inducted to the Library Board on March 2022.  As the manager of the Lewiston Orchards Les Schwab, as well as a husband and father, he has developed a culture of giving back to the community for everyone to benefit.

Lynn Johnson

Lynn Johnson - Library Director


Born and raised in the Idaho county area, Lynn Johnson attended the University of Idaho receiving an Elementary Education degree. While living and teaching in Montana, she completed her Library Media Endorsement through the University of Montana and the University of Montana Western. Upon returning to Idaho she received her Masters of Educational Technology from Boise State University while employed as the School District Librarian for Mountain View School District. 

As the Director of the Lewiston City Library since January of 2019, Lynn lives with her husband, Dale Johnson, outside the community of Juliaetta. Her twin daughters, Abbie and Emma, are both working while attending local Idaho colleges. While not at the library, Lynn enjoys spending time with family and friends, raising Italian Spinone and caring for their rural acreage.

Colleen Olive

Colleen Olive - Youth Services Librarian


Colleen Olive has been a Youth Services Librarian for over 20 years in both school and public settings and joined the Lewiston City Library team in 2019. She truly loves what she does and strives to provide quality materials and meaningful programming for babies, children, teens, and families.  She is passionate about making the library accessible for everyone and reaches out to coordinate with community groups to improve access to information for all residents of the Lewiston valley.  

In her personal time Colleen enjoys bicycling, beach combing, traveling, and relishes spending time with her 3 granddaughters.

Brad Glover - Adult and Outreach Services Librarian


Brad is excited to join the Lewiston City Library team as the Adult & Outreach Librarian.  He has worked in public libraries since 2007 serving the communities of Boise, ID and Pagosa Springs, Colorado.  In 2016, he received his Master of Library and Information Science degree from San Jose State University. 

Brad loves to spend time with his wife and three kids.  They enjoy camping, fishing, watching movies and having new adventures.  Brad is an avid fan of genealogy and loves learning about local history.  He is also a US Coast Guard veteran and loves all things related to helicopters.  He is originally from Idaho Falls, ID.

Darin Garr, Technology Librarian

Darin Garr - Technology Librarian


Darin Garr joined the Lewiston City Library in 2022 with experience in library services since 2017. Darin received his graduate degree in Library and Information Sciences from San Jose State University in California and moved to the Pacific Northwest in 2021. 

Darin enjoys pop culture, reading and spending time with his family and pets.

Bruno Alvino

Bruno Alvino - Administrative Assistant & Building Coordinator


Bruno Alvino started his journey with the Lewiston City Library as a library page in 2015 and has worked his way up to the position of Administrative Assistant. Originally from Lima, Peru, he graduated from Lewis-Clark State College in May 2020 with a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration. 

His interests include staying up to date on current technology and all things gaming. He resides in Lewiston, Idaho.
