That's A Wrap! Film Club

Film Club poster with a DVD, popcorn and notepad

Finally, a place to talk about movies with other people!

Lewiston City Library now has a film club!  Meeting near the end of the month on Wednesdays, That's A Wrap! Film Club is inviting all cinema-lovers, movie-goers and popcorn-eaters to join us for a fun discussion about the movie of the month.  The movie for September is The Little Prince (1974) as a tie-in with the Coffee and Books book club earlier this month.  There will be a free public viewing of each film; this month The Little Prince will be shown on Tuesday September 20th, 2PM at the Library; whether you've seen it before or never heard of it, this is the perfect time to watch it.  Then join us Wednesday 21st at 6PM for the discussion over popcorn!

If you won't be able to make it to the September meeting, don't worry; there's more coming up, each with its own movie to discuss.

  • October 26: Horror Adaptations.  Why is it so hard for Hollywood to bring scary stories to the big screen?  Watch The Birds (1963) with us and let's talk about it!
  • November 23: Kubrick War Kollection.  Stanley Kubrick made many movies, but Path of Glory (1954) tends to be forgotten.
  • December 28: Feel Good Flix.  Miracle on 34th Street (1948) is a timeless classic about Santa's battle with the American legal system; can we take it seriously?

Unleash your inner film critic and join us this fall season for movies with That's A Wrap! Film Club!
